As a fourth generation family owned business (established in 1892), we have been around long enough to know the importance of quality, customer service and technical excellence.

We now operate from modern purpose-built premises where state-of-the-art presses and an exceptional array of finishing and binding equipment allow us to offer the complete range of printed products, all under one roof, all under our control. We specialise in book production and our clients include many of the most quality conscious publishers, museums and galleries in the world.

Our speciality is full colour softback or hardback (case bound) books which are produced on our B1 Heidelberg XL106 LE-UV perfecting press and our Kolbus binding line. We do not outsource… we produce your books in-house!

We run a state-of-the-art B1 UV litho press. This offers the benefit of printed sheets which are fully dry and UV cured straight off the machine. Sheets are immediately ready to fold, without the need for a coating which can flatten colours, or spot varnish which adds considerably to cost. In addition, the press offers new options to print on uncoated papers without the usual loss of brightness associated with this type of sheet.

Our key services are colour book printing and binding as well as colour magazine and catalogue printing and ever since 1892 we have invested heavily in the most modern and technologically advanced equipment to stay ahead in this market.

Short run colour book printing requires impeccable quality and our investment in an XL106 perfecting press and state-of-the-art platesetter has given us a lead in this competitive market. Trade binding is also an increasingly important market for us, and again investment in the most modern Kolbus casing line as well as a focus on training and development of our experienced staff has made us leaders in our field.

Our many longstanding colour book printing customers value our commitment to customer service. Our policy of assigning a specific Customer Services Representative to each account and our robust Management Information System mean we will always be able to answer questions on job progress quickly and effectively.

We offer the full range of binding options and have section sewing, foil blocking, case making, casing in and cloth/board cutting all in house. This gives us the unique ability to produce case bound / hardback books as well as limp bound, on very short lead times and with every process under our control.
