1 : Printed cloth cases. With our UV press we can get stunning effects on white cloths like Printex or colour cloths. You can even use print in combination with foiling to create a really special design. |

2 : Three quarter binding. This is rather like quarter binding except that instead of using cloth for just the spine, you wrap the whole back of the book in cloth. We can also offer other unusual ways to combine cloth and print. |

3 : Swiss binding. Gomer Press have recently begun offering this type of binding. There are four types of Swiss binding; Limp bound with exposed spine. Limp bound with taped spine. Hardback with exposed spine. Hardback with taped spine. Exposed spine Swiss binding will have excellent lay flat qualities and all four options look unusual and interesting compared to standard products. 4 : High build spot UV. Standard UV varnish has about 15 micron thickness. Our new Accurioshine device will run spot UV varnish up to 100 micron thickness! This gives opportunities to make covers much more tactile combining UV with an emboss effect on jackets and PPCs. |

5 : Foiled tip ins. Our new Accurioshine device can cost effectively foil short print runs for 2pp tip ins to books, which are a feature of our high end work. It even gives opportunities for personalisation to jackets and printed paper cases to produce sponsor copies and similar! |

6 : Exposed spine binding. This unusual form of binding can bring a uniqueness to your project. The book shown was produced with 270gsm Colorplan Hot Pink covers and fluorescent Orange thread for the section sewing. |

7 : Printed edges for a special edition. One simple way to create a special edition is to print the book edges for a certain portion of your print run. The advantage is that set up costs are relatively low, yet it will still give a number of copies that are emphatically premium. |

8 : 6pp endpapers. If your book would benefit from a fold out then printed 6pp endpapers are a cheaper and simpler option than foldouts within the text. These are a good way to present information that needs a bit more space such as plans, maps or in this case a family tree. |

9 : Reversed white text on black. With UV printing you can reverse single colour black and white text for a special impact without worrying about marking and set off. |

10 : 1.5mm greyboard. 3mm greyboard is the industry standard and gives great results, but 1.5mm greyboard has more flex and give which can be very attractive, not just for smaller hardback books. There is also 50% less greyboard needed per book so that is a simple cost saving too! |
